I intend to use this blog to get feelings, frustrations, excitement and any thoughts of getting back to my goal(ok and maybe other thoughts not related to weight loss?). Feel free to comment as you see fit.

Thursday weigh in.....the results are in.......

Last weeks weigh in I was down 3.2lbs, it was my second weigh in since I started back.  The first week I was up .4.  With being so sick last week and Easter (yes I ate more then I should have) I was sure to be up at the weigh in today.  I didn't exercise for 4 days last week, ate horrible for a day so needless to say, I had "damage control" to do.  Lots of make up workouts!  So the results are in...drum roll please.........
I was down 1lb today!  1lb you say, yes 1lb..visually that is equivalent to 4 sticks of butter!  Those make up workouts the past 3 days must have helped.  I was surprised, I knew it could have gone either up or down so I am happy with that!  On with a new, refocused week!
So this week I will live by this quote..
"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."  I am going to get a pedometer and track my daily steps, 10,000 steps = a healthy me!  I will set an activity goal for the week and stick to it!
Time to get on with the day..I will post more later.

Look, you can't do "make up" workouts as a way of life. It is all about structure my sista. You need a block of time and don't give me that "my kids" BS. They need a block of time to do all the things they aren't supposed to be doing as well. Good job on the LB, but I was expecting a little more from you. River Bank Run is in a month. You sdhould be able to 5K by then, so have a goal. Set something in front of you that you need to get done. Do I sound kind of demanding and condescending? Good, you have already been down that road once, so my work here is done. Good job...Keep the train on the tracks!!!

Great job Melissa!! Four sticks of butter. From a former WW we use to live for 1 stick of butter. LOL. What I wouldn't give for a 4 stick butter loss.. Keep your eye on the prize, I am here for ya!!!!

Pretty good results for being sick. You decided to do something about it and not use it as an excuse to wait until next week. Great Job!

So I'm a little late here, but way to go! I know 1 lb. seems so minute but it adds up.
Nice blog....keep us updated :)

Came over from Amy's blog. I wish you all the best in your weight loss efforts. It's so hard. I am on a jorney myself. I post my results on Wednesday's...except today, because I felt like doing a I AM post. It's certainly a lifstyle change, and not a diet. I've learned that they hard way. I figured it up...since my first son, I have gained and lost, and gained and lost almost 300 lbs. So, I am now making lifestyle changes and going for health, and not a size **. I'm hoping I will never have to say again, "I've lost 5 pounds this time around." I want to say that I've lost ** pounds and kept it off!

I will be keeping in touch with your journey and I do hope you reach your goals! Congrats on the loss this week!
